How the Glossary and Cross-References Work
The Promise This Manual Makes You
Every hard word gets treated the same way, everywhere in the manual:
- The first time a term appears in a chapter, it is explained right there, in plain language.
- The term also gets an entry in the Glossary, one alphabetical list of every term in the entire manual.
- The glossary entry links back to the chapter where the term is taught in full, so a definition is never a dead end.
That is the loop: chapter, then glossary, then chapter. You can enter from either side and never get stuck.
Anatomy of a Glossary Entry
Every entry follows the same skeleton. Try hovering the term below: it is a live glossary popup, exactly like the ones used throughout the manual.
The "See also" line is the fastest way to learn all the terms connected to a topic. Look up one term, then follow its "See also" links one after another: three or four clicks usually covers an entire concept.
How Cross-References Work

The "planned" convention is deliberate. In many manuals, a reference to an unwritten section is a dead link. Here, every reference to future content points to a live roadmap page instead, so you always land somewhere useful.
